HydroVator PLUS Hydrographics Activator 400ml Aerosol

HydroVator PLUS in a 400ml aerosol is our best-selling size, and a simple way to activate your film without setting up a spray gun. It’s the same activator range we use every day in our own workshop.

Why choose HydroVator PLUS?

• Solvent free: what you get in the can is purely activator, with nothing mixing with the product or affecting how it works.
• Workshop proven: we use HydroVator PLUS for its compatibility and consistent results across the films we sell.
• Developed with Express Chem: this blend was developed for the UK and EU markets, and you use it in the same way as the original Hydro-Vator.
• Help when you need it: our customers get free expert advice and support. Call us on 01443 836599 or contact us.

How to use it

1. Fill your tank with water at 25-30°C.
2. Lay your film on the water and let it hydrate for 60-90 seconds, or longer in some cases.
3. Spray from around 20cm. One steady pass is usually enough.
4. Wait until the film looks smooth and glassy. Don’t spray more if it isn’t there yet, or you’ll likely over-activate it. Thicker inked films just need more time.
5. Dip your part slowly and steadily, then rinse, dry and clear coat.

Using it safely

Use it in a well-ventilated area, away from children, animals and naked flames, and wear suitable respiratory protection. We use a full-face respirator in our professional workshop. A basic mask is OK for occasional DIY use, but not for prolonged use.

Other sizes

HydroVator PLUS also comes as a 1 litre tin, a 2 litre combo deal and a 5 litre trade pack. New to dipping? Our hobby dip kits include activator, film, paint and instructions.
