HydroVator PLUS Hydrographics Activator 1 Litre
HydroVator PLUS in a 1 litre tin, for use through a spray gun. It’s a reformulation of the original Hydro-Vator with some very slight improvements, so if you’ve used the original, just swap over and carry on.

How to spray it
- Fill your tank with water at 25-30°C.
- Lay your film on the water and let it hydrate for 60-90 seconds, or longer in some cases.
- Set your gun to full fan and under 10psi, as low as possible while still atomising the product. We use a DeVilbiss GPi.
- Spray from around 20cm. One steady pass is usually enough.
- Wait until the film looks smooth and glassy. Don’t spray more if it isn’t there yet, or you’ll likely over-activate it. Thicker inked films just need more time.
- Dip your part slowly and steadily, then rinse, dry and clear coat.

Using it safely
Use it in a well-ventilated area, away from children, animals and naked flames, and wear suitable respiratory protection. We use a full-face respirator in our professional workshop. A basic mask is OK for occasional DIY use, but not for prolonged use.
